Terms of use
Chaotic Tails is a free website of party games. Using it means you agree to these terms. They are short and in plain English.
Last updated 27 October 2026.
Free, with no account
Chaotic Tails costs nothing and needs no sign-up. You play under any name you type. There is nothing to buy. To pay for running it, the site shows ads from Google on the home and guide pages and between games, never during a round you are playing (see Privacy).
Play nice
You are responsible for what you put into a room: your name, chat, drawings, answers and anything else you type. Do not use Chaotic Tails to:
- abuse, threaten, bully or harass anyone, or attack people for their religion, caste, gender, sexuality, region or anything else they are;
- share sexual content involving anyone under 18, or any content that is illegal in India;
- share someone else's phone number, address, photos or other personal details without their permission;
- flood rooms, cheat with scripts, or try to break or overload the site.
The host of a room can remove anyone from it, or ban them so they cannot come back to that room. Player names that are abusive are not accepted. If someone breaks these rules, report it or write to the grievance officer below.
Rooms are open to anyone with the code
Anyone who has a room's code or link can join it, so share it only with people you want to play with. A room and everything said and drawn in it is deleted a day after it was last used. See Privacy for what is kept.
Age
The games are for everyone, and the question packs are clean unless the host picks a Spicy pack, which is meant for adults. If you are under 18, play with your parent or guardian's OK.
Whose content it is
- Many Trivia questions come from the Open Trivia Database under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence; the questions about India were written for Chaotic Tails.
- Music Guess plays 30-second previews from Apple Music. The songs belong to their owners.
- Photo Finish pictures come from Wikimedia Commons under free licences. Each picture's author and licence are shown when it is revealed and listed on the credits page. Pixelated and cropped copies of CC BY-SA pictures are shared under the same licence.
- The facts in Order Order! are public information; each set names where its numbers come from.
- Chaotic Tails is not linked to the makers of Wordle, Codenames, Uno, Pictionary, Boggle or any other game named on the site.
If you think something on the site uses your work in a way it should not, tell us and it will be looked at quickly.
No promises
Chaotic Tails is made by one person and offered as it is. It may have bugs, go down, change or stop, and answers in the games may sometimes be wrong. As far as the law allows, Chaotic Tails and its maker are not responsible for any loss that comes from using it.
Changes and the law
These terms may change; the date at the top says when they last did. They are governed by the laws of India.
